Project Description

Northern Petroleum Nederland B.V. (NPN) decided to drill a new exploration well in the Netherlands. NPN is part of Northern Petroleum Plc which is an EU oil company that acquires low entry cost exploration, production and development assets.

The well is situated nearby the town Nieuwendijk close to the Ottoland field. For the drilling activities a newly fabricated rig, the Huisman LOC400, owned and operated by the Northern Dutch Drilling Company (NDDC) is used. Upon completion, the activities will move to the Tiendeveen site in the province Drenthe in the east of The Netherlands. WEP/PGMi was responsible for the well design and drilling supervision for this vertical exploration oil well to a depth of 2677 meters AH.
