Project Description

Tulip Oil Netherlands B.V. is the operator of the Donkerbroek-West en Donkerbroek-Main gas field. To extend the gas reserves in this field Tulip Oil decided to drill a new development/appraisal well (DKK-04). Project planning, tendering, engineering, coördination, management, and supervision was carried out by WEP, whereas other companies provided the materials and services.

The well has been spudded on the 2nd of July and WEP & Tulip Oil Netherlands BV have released the DrillTec VDD200.1 rig on the 24th of July. DKK-04 was successfully drilled within budget and presence of gas has been proved. The well was drilled directionally to a total depth of 2665 m AH. Total operational days from spud to rig release was 23 days. Well Engineering Partners provided the overall engineering, total project management and well site supervision for this project.
