Project Description
After a period of preparations, the drilling of the new appraisal/gas production well of Tulip Oil Netherlands has started on March 7th, 2013. Tulip Oil Netherlands owns the license area Akkrum‐11 Main & East in the community Opsterland NL. The well (HRK‐01) is situated in Hemrik and is proposed in the crest of the partially depleted field. Mobilization of the Satvia TB 2100S drilling rig of Drilltec took place in the last week of February and the well was spudded on March 6th.
On May 15th, 2013 drilling and completion of the well HRK-01 was finished. Hemrik-01 (HRK-01) was drilled as an appraisal and production well for gas production.
HRK-01’s objective was to test the target reservoir structure for gas and assess the field’s production potential for redevelopment. The successful delivery of HRK-01 to Tulip Oil is key to reactivation of the gas field is.
HRK-01 is to be deployed now as a production well for the development of the partially depleted gas accumulation of the Upper Rotliegend structure in the field Akkrum Main & East. HRK‐01 will produce the gas that remained behind after past development (AKM-11). Drilling was carried out from the same surface location as AKM-11.
Well Engineering Partners provided the overall (well) engineering, total project and drilling management services and wellsite supervision for this project.
