On November 7th, 2012 the RigRider Trusted Customer Event was held in Amersfoort, the Netherlands. Representatives from the oil & gas industry were invited to test the RigRider system, a development of Well Engineering Partners (WEP), in close cooperation with launching customer Dalma Energy.
Following background presentations about the system, the industry experts were invited to ‘play’ with the system and asked to share their views and experiences with the team. “We are very pleased with the reactions.”, says Hans Schokkenbroek, Managing Director of Rider BV. “It is always an exciting moment when a new system is presented to the market. The reactions were only positive. If you hear comments from both operators and drilling contractors like ‘visionary’, ‘simple and intuitive’, and ‘unique’, it tells us we are on the right track. Our guests have confirmed the belief that RigRider is a revolution in the drilling industry, helping to make drilling operations safer and more efficient by coaching and guiding workers, verifying critical steps and providing essential information on the work floor at the time they need it.” The first RigRider system will now be shipped to Oman where it will be field tested in the coming period on the LR-08 land rig from Dalma Energy.
The RigRider product is a revolutionary coaching and control system for drilling operations based on state-of-the-art technology. The headquarter of Rider BV is situated in Hoogeveen, the Netherlands. RigRider has been developed by Well Engineering Partners BV in close cooperation with launching customer Dalma Energy LLC.
