Project Description
Well Engineering Partners provided various services for brine producing wells owned by KEM ONE. To increase the production, KEM ONE decided to drill a new doublet (PA32/33) in the Parrapon concession nearby the community of Vauvert (FR). Project planning, tendering engineering, coördination, management, and supervision was carried out by WEP, whereas other companies provided the materials and services. In the period of June to September 2012, the doublet was drilled by the French Drilling contractor S.M.P, using their 101 rig. After the rig was moved the doublet has been perforated for leaching in a new cavern.
The doublet was successfully drilled without LTI’s and within the available budget. The target depths of the S-shaped wells were located at 2400 and 2600 m AH. Both wells have an inclination up to 20 degrees. The directional drilling in the tangent section was done by a rotary steerable BHA.
