We welcome again two new employees at Well Engineering Partners

Dear network, We welcome again two new employees at Well Engineering Partners: Pien van de Klundert and Robert Relic

Pien and Robert will support our senior engineers and our field team to design and advise our clients and make things happen. With this reinforcement of our engineering and field team, we can continue to guarantee our quality and position and even further increase the service to our customers.

Introduction Pien

In 2013 Pien started working in the oil & gas industry by joining NAM as a graduate Completions & Well Interventions engineering. During the graduate programme she was introduced to various CWI activities such as slickline, wireline, coiled tubing, well testing & completion installation by joining teams offshore and onshore as an engineer in training. Additionally, she completed the Shell Round 1 and 2 (completion & well intervention) and related safety and pressure control courses. She worked as a junior supervisor on two offshore and 1 onshore
formation stimulation projects.

Aside from supervising CWI operations she was based in Assen to work on programme preparation, completion design and performed an incident investigation. During that time reorganisations were ongoing at NAM. As a result, rigs were taken out of rotation and projects were put to a hold which ultimately made her decide to leave NAM and well engineering.

In 2018 she joined the start-up Solarfields as a project and asset manager. Solarfields was a fast-growing solar project developer and had loads of solar projects to develop. However, she simply did not enjoy building solar farms as much. She missed the technical challenges, the
opportunity to work hands-on and being part of a team. That’s why she is happy to join WEP and is excited to get back into well engineering, to learn more about drilling wells and to share her experiences in well intervention, health & safety, and supervising. Pien will support our Aardwarmte Service Team to unburden our geothermal clients during production and/or with well interventions, and support our well engineering department with new well development.

Introduction Robert

Robert graduated in Petroleum Engineering from faculty of Mining, Geology and Petroleum engineering in Zagreb in 2013. He joined the company Ascent Resources in Lendava, Slovenia and worked there for five years. The company was an operator on mature oil and gas field. The project was to develop the field with existing and new wells. In a team of five, he was involved in all technical parts of the project including permitting, project documentation, well engineering, production and process engineering etc. During that period, he was involved in recompletion and well intervention of gas wells, well testing, upgrading existing gas plant, monitoring production, and taking care that wells are flowing. It was an interesting experience where he learned about almost all aspects of oil and gas industry.

He joined Vermilion in Croatia to work as well engineer on well testing for two wells in the Eastern part of Croatia. In December 2019 he started with Precise Downhole Services in Nisku, Alberta as a Field Technician. He worked in a team of three where they were following the rigs, doing different jobs as ESP pump changes cable spooling, installing pressure sensors, clamping coil lines. It was a good way to get out of his comfort zone and to do something new in a different country, especially in cold weather up to –30 degrees C. Before joining the WEP team he worked for Vermillion in Croatia on two new wells as a well engineer. Robert will strengthen our geothermal department.
