DGK2025: Geothermal Digital Twins

November 18, 2025

Proper Well Integrity management is required for geothermal systems to prevent expensive repairs, downtime, shortened well lives and reputation damage. A geothermal digital twin using real-time data can maximize performance but can also optimize maintenance schedules and facilitate proactive interventions to always ensure well integrity.

At the German Geothermal Congress (DGK2025), hosted by the Bundesverband Geothermie e.V., Floris Degener from Well Engineering Partners will present a Digital Twin developed for Geothermal Systems. He will demonstrate how a digital twin can be used as part of a Well Integrity Management System (hashtagWIMS).

Location: Frankfurt am Main, House of Logistics and Mobility (HOLM)
Date & Time: Thursday, 20 November 2025, 10:00 – 10:20

The Digital Twin is being developed together with TNO and Gaia Energy as part of the WarmingUpGOO project.
