Visit K+S mine

August 19, 2024

Well Engineering Partners’s Salt Solution Mining Team visited the Neuhof-Ellers underground potash mine of K+S in Germany. It was a great experience to be able to walk, and physically see the different salt types (e.g. Carnaliet, Halite) with the different other layers (clay, anhydrite). We stand normally high above the salt layers ranging from a hundred meters to up 3km so this was a valuable experience. We would like to thank K+S and Frisia Zout to help organize this.
