Wellsite Supervision & (Drilling) Management

Operational Management involves the on-site supervision of drilling and well intervention jobs. The  Site Supervisor, and optionally a Well-Site Engineer, are supported from the WEP office by an engineer and a project/drilling manager who oversees the operation.

Proper supervision is important to ensure safety for all personnel during the assigned project while staying on schedule and budget. The site supervisor is the client’s eyes and ears on the job site, and that supervisor needs to be an effective communicator so that information flows clearly and consistently to the client, WEP back-office, contractors and other stakeholders. WEP has a pool of supervisors to offer both continuity and flexibility and to ensure that the people tasked with these roles are qualified to correctly execute the program for a specific job. The site supervisors are trusted to handle adequately unplanned deviations and escalate and report accordingly. Deviations may require  contact with the authorities via a Management of Change procedure (MoC) initiated by the office team.
