Dutch-German cooperation agreement on geothermal research signed

During a working visit of King Willem Alexander and Queen Maxima to Germany, TU Delft and the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ) signed a cooperation agreement on geothermal energy research. Following the signing ceremony, the King joined a discussion between Dutch and German experts on geothermal energy. Geertjan van Og, CTO of Well Engineering Partners, 2nd on the right of the gentlemen in the front, joined the discussion in which the King referred to his visit to the Andijk geothermal plant of which the drilling was managed by WEP. WEP is excited about the attention and focus on geothermal energy in general and is looking forward to investigating opportunities to support this research to accelerate and implement technical innovation to improve our climate and decrease total costs for geothermal energy.
